
Cibutex member Alsico has managed to commercially produce two new cleanroom fabrics (Roca and Carezza), from its own textile waste. Recycling waste from the production process is used as an ingredient for new fabrics. This is a remarkable achievement, given the very strict criteria for cleanroom garments.
Alsico points out that it is important to see this development not as an experiment or pilot, but as an economically viable product that may serve as an example for the entire branch.
