Closing the Gap
The Cibutex model (below) shows the lifecycle of business textiles. Our focus is on closing the ‘Gap’ between end-of-life and production. How can we bridge the Gap and close the circle?
Key figures
The Cibutex ecosystem currently consists of around 20 industrial laundries and 40 other members, with a combined network in all EU27 countries and Switzerland.
We are part of and involved in the national textile organizations of the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and the UK. We also have a permanent representative in ETSA, the European organization of national industry associations.
Cibutex organizes a yearly event for all members, where we host expert guest speakers and invite our members to co-direct Cibutex.
Our headoffice is in Amsterdam, with a support office in Aalten/Bocholt. The core team of Cibutex consists of 4 people: Jan Lamme, Ralf Hellmann, Hein Barnhoorn and Eli Vlessing.

Founders

Members
Our members are textile service companies, who supply feedstock. Their role makes the difference between consumer and business textiles.

Partners
Cooperation is key. In order to make change and impact, all links of the lifecycle of textile need to work together. Our partners are various crucial stakeholders in the textile industry.

Associations
Cibutex is member or associate of a number of national and international textile associations. We often represent the interests and future of the business textile industry in particular.
